Found out today it was. Whether or not you run in the hard weather, you gotta have them on the truck during a certain date range. Mountains or not. I'll keep my 8 predictable states (sometimes nine). It may be boring, but it pays the bills. In the end, it's all about building a life. If I wanna see other places I'll go on vacation. And if you get a roadside and those chains look rusty or beaten up, you might still get a citation by a picky DOT agent. I've seen enough states to know that I hate anything outside my 8 states. But, go explore the road. I remember how freeing it was to see new places. Then I realized freight rates blow balls. I'll be content with being boring.

So done with China. Probably my seventh parking ticket for parking in a seemingly legal spot while all the cars around me, clearly parked illegally (double parking, parked in a marked no parking zone, middle of the road, sidewalk) no tickets. I guess I won't park on a side street with no signs prohibiting it and my parking not at all impeding movement. But yes to parking in middle of the road. Sorry rant over. Living in China you wouldn't believe the crazy things I've seen done on the roads.

Back to trucking. How do you drive wearing contacts? I prefer wearing my dailies (a must have with Chinas terrible air) over glasses, but they can get irritated and very difficult to wear as my eyes get tired. So I read @Steelersjunkie wears contacts. Any tips?
-
Nothing special, really. I have a spray bottle of alcohol just in case I need to handle them and there isn't a restroom available. I'll clean my hands with water then sanitize them with the alcohol. They you're good to handle your contacts. Otherwise, it's life as normal out here. I don't have dailies, I've found that my vision isn't as good with those. But every one is different. I think @keen98 wears contacts as well.
-
Yeah, I'd probably stick with dailies to avoid having to keep them feeling as good as possible everyday. I suppose later in the day, I'd just have to take stop to quickly rip them out and throw on glasses. Nothing is worse than struggling to see as the eyes get tired and start rejecting the contacts.

Nothing special with my contacts except if I drive at night I wear my glasses. Just feel like at night with my contacts my eyes give me more issues. I usually only wear my contacts in bright sunny weather so then I can wear my sunglasses. My eyes get pretty sensitive to brightness with my contacts so I need sunglasses.
-
Yeah, same here. My eyes struggle at night with contacts starting to irritate and all the Chinese drivers rolling with their high beams all the time with the exceptional guy running completely dark.
