Another Rest Stop Closing In Indiana

Texas has closed a whole bunch of rest areas in the last 10- 15 years. Some larger ones along Eye 35 and alot of smaller ones. Makes me sad.

 

A million dollars a year to take out the trash and mow the grass?
I'm guessing they'll be wanting their Cherioos at the Walmart though.

 

Where I live. It’s $35 an hour to the tractor driver that works for the guy who has the contract with the state.

A driver called rest areas “pickle parks” on the CB today. Cracked me up.

 

It's already bad enough trying to find parking. It's getting worse in my opinion...

 

Right Cat. If you like pickles, that's your spot. That said, I've never found even a gerkin in the machines.

 

Indiana ...always something with them and a state I trip plan to drive right on thru .
Not to mention they're great roads .

 

Do you know why they are called "pickle parks"... If you enjoy staying in rest areas you may not want to know why they are called that. Or your a little... Lets call it different.
