If you are over 20k as first year business for 1 truck 1 wagon that's expensive. 24k would be my limit. (Cdn$).
My first year was about 13 iirc. I now pay about 16.5. With 389 and new reefer. With old freightliner and old trailer I was at about 11.5. Basicly a 50% upcharge for expensive equipment.
All these numbers Canadian prices. We don't have the competition you have as far as insurance providers.
At 5 trucks it goes down. And again at 10.

We are at $18,000 for dry van, new authority. Much less than I was expecting, so no complaints here. Just have to suck it up the first couple years.

How about getting just insurrance for guys going to lease on somewhere, like
Your non trucking liability and physical damage? Does that go down after a few years?
Also with getting insurrance for own authority if you have over 5 trucks it goes down right? So if your at 2 trucks or 3 trucks or 4 trucks how much are you fleet owners paying?
Thx! -

What part of Canada are you from. I have 1 year and 9 months of driving experience under a company as Oo now got my own authority and. Trying to get insurance I got
A quote of 44000. Can’t afford that.
Everyone wants 3 years of experience. -
I became an O/O at my 10 year mark and my insurance was like $2900 down and $1200 per month so that's $13,700 for 1 year. If it's more expensive than that I wouldn't do it.
