    Anybody that cruises at 55 mph, while you may not be legally in the wrong, you sure will pay civilly. That’s the great thing about our court system, maybe you don’t get a ticket for impeding traffic but i can still sue you civilly for it after the accident.

    I’m in the 60mph club, within reason. I run between 62-63 most of the time. i also speed up when traffic dictates. Some of you guys sound proud to be rolling road blocks. “I travel 58 with my rv”. Yeah ok, well after your rv is turned into kindling don’t expect any sympathy from me.

    If anybody's running a camper at 80 miles an hour it's just plain stupid to start with. Aerodynamics of semi trucks yin and yang of the air flow is deadly to an RV . What today truck drivers are stacking up and going down the road they don't leave enough room they start over to the right lane to pass way too soon not leaving enough room and when you blow somebody out the roads are going to be responsible for it a heavy RV is less than 26000 pounds most of them are about 15,000 pounds the light ones or somewhere around six to seven thousand Pounds it don't take much to blow RV over not going to even go to say anything about Chicago cuz we already know they're stupid ignorant people

    I've slowed down from 62 to 55mph. I saw my mpg go from 6.2 to 7.6. I'm going to stay at 55 whenever possible. You're welcome to pass whenever you feel the need. I won't complain.

    As a bus driver, I can chime in here. My Bluebird RV is 1983, 16 tons. It was built when the national speed limit was 55 mph. The absolute fastest that Cat 3208 will go is 65ish mph..on flat ground. I don't drive it above 55 cause that's her sweet spot. If I go above that, she starts to wander like a beast, especially in rutted roads, plus she has the larger 12 R 22.5 tires on her. I know I'm slow so I try and always stay to the right. Plus , if you saw some of these larger motorhome drivers, you'd be scared to share the road with them, let alone expecting them to drive faster. Remember we are NOT required to have a CDL to drive these machines....be very afraid.

    And that would be another point of concern.

    **Backs away... oh no... no no no...... nooooooooo!

    //Teasing.

    I am reminded of a particular 8 year old or so sitting up in a transtar cabover hauling a carnival scrambler ride or something upgrade near Scranton one day in convoy. You could not see much of the kid looking across nothing at all from car level looking up (WTF!? HOLY!! NO DRIVER IN THAT TRUCK! PAAA!!!!! lolz) if they only knew.

    One scared kid. But he was functioning and doing well with us in Convoy that night. And you wonder why I rage on my folks for never letting me do anything worth doing at that age ha...

    I keep my little camper around 65 and stay to the right. It really doesn't like to go any faster than that.
