Do you remember the name of that dump of a truck/fuel stop going eastbound on 50 just past the split and just past those outlet stores? They tore it down back around 2000-01.

That top pic reminded me of that stretch of road.

I'd be chugging across I-40 back in the day,in N.M,Az.,you'd see that familiar frontal paint scheme,coming up behind you in your mirror,briefly. Then a blur goes by,lol. Sometimes I'd catch one in the hills if I wasn't heavy,but they were the truly fast,no nonsense fleet,back in the day....Another deregulation victim,went out of business in the early 90's,iirc.

I'm curious if the school bus getting hit there had something to do with the fuel stop being shut down. I do know that's why all the school buses in Maryland have strobe lights on top now.

 

I don't think so. IIRC the school bus accident was just east of Easton on 50,that heavy Queen Anne county fog rolling in off the bay was the culprit. Their schools there are always having delayed openings because of the thick fog.
I think that TS was just half-azzed mismanaged. Also,not a real popular business in that well heeled area.
