I just found out Cole is not there today. I got 3 different load assignments.
I sent dispatch a message... Going to sleep! Told DM about the problem and went to bed.

Yup... due to some technical difficulties, had to be a bit flexible on the arrival date but my five days of Home Time is quickly coming to a close... I should be rolling out in the AM.

They're training some new guy at dispatch. Didn't get his name, but Philip was sitting with him showing him the ropes.

I still haven't got my load btw. Which made it extra funny when someone named "Cliff" from HQ called me up and asked me "When will you be back and ready?"

    Me: "Sorry, do what?"
Cliff: "When will you be back and ready?" (he said, repeating himself exactly)
Me: "I'm not sure that I understand the question."
Cliff: "When will you be back from hometime and ready to haul freight?"
Me: "Dude, I am already here. Been on the yard since last night, been waiting on a Hill-Phoenix load since this morning, but they don't have the trailer ready."
    Cliff: "Oh."
Cliff: "Well don't I feel like an idiot?"
Me: "It's okay, man. If that's the worst thing that happens to you today, you're doing pretty good."

Load still isn't finished. I got curious so I actually drove my car to the HP plant to see if it was ready. They hadn't even started it yet as of an hour ago.

Every Truck on the Yard is a Good Truck... :)

I don’t swap trucks... that vehicle may be the Company’s Truck, but for 26 out of 30 days, it’s My House... (now with TV, WiFi, and Apple HomeKit) ... they are both good trucks... both just need a bit of TLC... I’ll certainly be flexible with options available and I’ll bide my time until the 20xxx lot rolls onto the Yard... :)

btw... this sister has been around the block a few more times... and already throwing codes... LOL

Just talked to one of our O/O at my last drop before Home Time... the program that he discribed sounded more like a Lease Program than an O/O Program... will be interested in hearing more about this “new” program.

Well, all I know is, I'm not interested in it. I barely pay my bills as a company driver. I like this company, but they're way behind the times on mileage pay. I've been stuck on east coast and north east freight for a week. I'd beg someone to get a load to Indianapolis or further west right now.

I’m so laughing at myself right now! Last night when I stopped, I had to use the restroom really badly so I just jumped out, shut the batteries off (like I always do when I’m done for the day), and boggied home. What I forgot to do was put myself off duty. I thought about it like 2 hours later, I was like, “It will have me on duty and I can fix that in the morning.” Yeah, No. I guess it didn’t have time to register me as being on duty before I shut the batteries off, so today I’m running in violation, with my Qualcomm yelling at me that I’m out of service drive time, unless safety answers the email that dispatch sent and fixes it. Plus, it was showing me in Richmond when I was not. And a lovely message about how Qualcomm service has been restored.

Gotta say, when I do something I do it whole hog. Not just halfway.

I have a few questions about the new lease program... Not because I'm interested in it! But wondering how this will affect the owner operator's and of course we the company drivers. Lately all I seen is broker loads! I hope is just a temporary thing.
