Cool stuff my friend, i could definatly see it being usefull in situations like that, i read somewhere about mirrors are going to eventually be cameras , looks like u are on the cutting edge of that technology

 

You should check out the new Nissans. 360 FOV on the screen. I’ve become a big fan of backup cameras on cars. Especially since I park in a tight underground

 

Me too. I drove my girlfriends Lexus the other day. It wants to move the two side mirrors into ridiculous positions where I can't see anything meaningful even after moving forward and over. She tells me to use the backup display. I just could not do it. It's hard wired in my brain to look in my mirrors and to see what the FIXED mirror sees.

However, for hooking up to a ball or pintle, alone with no help, I can see how this would be very useful in the final feet and inches.

No way I could develop enough spatial orientation based on a reverse image in a screen in the cab of the truck to back any significant distances. And I'm familiar with how these signals become easily "crossed" and distorted in busy urban areas, but typically might not be a problem.
