Go to total wireless website and get the phone for free but you need to buy the prepaid card. No start up fees.... nothing. Just prepaid card

Trac phone with a deliberate purchase of voice only cards. The net would not work and the text wont work.

I am on a subsidized free government phone that dates to the Reagan administration and it's essentially unlimited except voice calls capped at 350 minutes per month no carry over.

They are beginning to use marketing via text spam now from addresses like 313131 and your defense for android is to download and use a particular text program that denies anyone from inbound texts not already part of your contacts list.

I had trac phone for years finally the spammers won. Do not call list etc until blue in the face. As far as I am concerned that federal crap does not work period. With the parasitic calls coming in at all hours of day and night on a whored telephone as a form of abuse. It's been rotting out of service two years now. Literally disposible. Burn it and move on to another number in 10 minutes. Easy peasy.

When I make calls like for the ambulance in my area, I use relay from the computer at home. The Police Dispatcher knows who I am and understands what's going on when she gets one of those kinds of calls.

The ONLY issue with t mobile is their coverage is very spotty. ATT verizon and sprint dominate. Cricket uses their towers so they are as good as those service providers.

Any of the cheap prepaid services. But 99% will have texts as well.
