    @Rugerfan

    Are you staying up in Portland area?

    Nothing worse than not liking your job for sure. At least you were smart and got a new job before you left he old one?

    Good luck in your new adventure.

    Trucks are “just tools” to me- but I can’t see the point of having a tool you don’t appreciate the look/feel/history/class of.

    You can use a plastic curb sniffer to go truckin. You can use a 4x4 pickup or a Ford Fiesta to get to work. You can use a big rubber dildo for a rubber mallet too.
    Which one you’d rather have is a matter of personal taste imo
    My taste is long hood largecars. Anything less would be uncivilized.

    I don’t need everbody to be like me: and I think that’s the most important part of being a man. Ever body don’t have to do things like me, ever body don’t have to like what I like. BUT: I don’t tell nobody what they gotta be like, and I don’t appreciate anybody telling me what I gotta be like.

    This right here.

    If everybody liked the same things, we’d all have the same exact truck and nobody would think anyone else’s stuff was cool cuz everyone would have the same stuff.

    I know that probably don’t make a bit of sense, but I did have a point. Lol.

    All this talk about two log books. I remember just doing no log book. Because in the time before csa it was a cheaper fine for no book than a falsified book. At worst they shut you down for 8 and made you fill it out. Mostly you got a ticket and was told to fill it out and bring it back in. A log ticket or speeding ticket was just the cost of doing business. Most states if you paid the fine never reported back to your home state so the license never took a ding. I miss the old days(kinda)

    Nowadays, anything cool (muscle cars, 4x4 trucks, 18speed manuals, any bigrig that can go faster than 65mph or has more than 450hp, any driver that owns a gun, anyone that goes through life unaffected by tomorrow) is not cool.
    Cowards. They want you to be just like them and if you are not, they are puzzled. They feel that it’s cruel to have dogs in a truck. They hate the job and anyone that takes pride in the job. They consider ANYTHING that they cannot do or understand unsafe. Mental communism.

    “Hi. I am a fat and effeminate sidewalk sissy antisocial loner. My life is schat, and I am use to getting schat on. I want to be a truck driver because I have nowhere to live since memaw died. What is the best company between Swift, Werner and CR England?”
