    Pulling for
Willing to bet pulling for Wakefern is not about making big miles. If it is you’re screwed from the get go. Your running area is from Baltimore North....Traffic, Tolls, Traffic, Tolls, more Traffic, & more Tolls
    ,
I’ve no idea how they are paid, but it’s gotta be percentage

I keep hearing 'big money' thrown around with regard to that account, so I'm trying to see if someone will just come out with some hard numbers. Big money to a lot of people is $1500 in their pocket on Friday.

I asked about miles because that's the main factor that I use to calculate my variable costs. Tolls aren't a big factor if you're running local, lots of ways to avoid that.

They pay your tolls, discounted fuel at the yard. They pay per load. So anything in x radius pays this amount and it gets adjusted accordingly.

Sweet deal on tolls & fuel. They radius pay is not a bad deal either. I don’t mind it at all

Tolls are a big factor. Sure you can avoid them. But that eats time & money. Route 1 in the day light is a long ride. 130 isn’t always that much better. Bridges into Nyc & the island are unavoidable...again time and fuel. I don’t know how they run (same routes daily/weekly or not), working local or semi local like that milage is usless. You’ll never get an average 2,200mi or 2,500mi week. You might not leave Jersey this week, and might only run Mass. next week. @kw550cat gave some good info. You don’t have to worry about the tolls & they have a decent fuel program in house.

With his info, now the big questions are what that map looks like, how runs are assigned, and how much i can expect to work as noob. The map is the biggest player. It determines your pay per mile.

You want to find the most lucrative zone & stick to it. The Farm pays like this. Now i have my own numbers. So no toll or fuel program. My most lurcative is running to North Jersey, highest grossing is Boston, lowest grossing is Md. a lot of guys love the Boston runs, they can gross a lot more then me, i love the North Jesery. I’m home early in the day & net more than them.

It's better then food haulers out of the Bronx. They paid 1.15 a mile plus fuel, some low stop rate, tolls, all for local city driving.
Shop Rite direct always has nice trucks, so they have to pay something decent

I run dedicated daily rate loads from PA into NJ and back. One drop and hook delivery, and one back haul. Since it's flat rate, I keep more in my pocket if I avoid the tolls. Sure, sometimes it makes for a long day. But it adds up when you're playing the long game.
