The alcohol will keep the fluid ports from icing up. As far as the ice on your wipers, welcome to trucking. Our windshield is massive and the air flow over it lends itself to problems. Crank up the heat and throw it on the windshield, that'll help. Get used to pulling over every once in a while to get out and manually remove it. I'd love to tell you there's a secret. There isn't. I've had times where I had to stop every 30 minutes.

That isn't what makes you silly. Replacing a 4 year old phone with a 2 year old phone is silly :p

You as well. Galaxy 10 comes out next month (hopefully). Haven't been excited about a phone in a long time, but that thing is a bad mother. Definitely replacing my 6 with one. I'm tempted to replace my 8 as well.

They must be using winter type wiper blades. ( Rubber covering the frame of the blade )

I've found that throwing a lot of heat up onto the windshield as you drive in that situation is what causes the ice and crap to form onto your windshield. The heat from against inside of the windshield makes is just enough to partially melt the crap falling against the outside turning it into an icey slush that sticks to your blades. What I do is try to not have a lot of heat directly on the windsheld. The less heat on the inside of the windshield the less melting on the outside.

In the morning I will get the windshield defrosted and then either turn the heat way down or divert it towards me or down to my feet with the HVAC controls. If the windshield begins to fog up as I drive I will temporarily throw the heat back up there and then away again. Only real cure is heated wiper blades. Short of that it is trial and error.

This is one of the most interesting loads I've ever hauled. There are 3 of us caravanning a really neat machine from Ohio to Tennessee. I got a mini tour of the facility where I picked up, and it's super impressive what these guys do. The dude who loaded my truck is driving down as well to supervise the unloading and assembly of this machine. Kinda feeling bad for him. He'll be there for over a week and there ain't a dam thing to do there. Glad I don't have his job
