You bought a truck with no assurance of work? Enjoy polishing it. Maybe you can find a driver. How much was insurance?

O.K. folks, just testing the waters. So I have no experience as a driver. I understand I need to learn the ropes and experience, but I really would like to know if I could lease onto a company without experience. Basically I want to purchase a truck cash, around 40,000 and start as an owner operator. Before I get bashed about needing experience and all that stuff, is it feasible. If not, why not. My goal or plan has a plan A,B and C:
1) Become an owner Operator
2) Within 3 years work under my own Authority
3) If I can not accomplish that Goal I will either remain an Owner Operator leased onto a carrier or work for Walmart as a company driver.

Although I have no experience I have done quite of bit of research on the ins and outs of the business and have some knowledge as to what is needed, and I don't have to tell you its a lot of stuff. I have two years before I retire from my current job and take the leap. I have run numbers for operational cost, Gross and Net profits margins and good ole Uncle Sam. I am confident I can manage that end of the business. Hopefully Future CEO of T.T.S. LLC

Please search my prior posts for my ACTUAL start up and maintenance expenses. Almost a year in and still in the red. But, things are ok (as long as rates dont tank anytime soon... lol)

Please search my prior posts for my ACTUAL start up, maintenance, fixed, and variable costs. I posted my REAL numbers.... and I have to admit they are a bit shocking. Not saying that if your are less funded you cant make it happen... I'm saying I've got almost a qtr mil in the deal and still have things I could fix and/or improve on.
