Dock is based on a mileage threshold which my run doesn’t meet. I hostle in the yard instead of work the dock.
That being said I love the company. -
Your tripping homie, OD has no driver cams and is chill as fuqTexas_hwy_287 Thanks this.

@Fuelinmyveins works at FedEx too, hope he comes thru to give his insight.

there are 2 main concerns with OD, 1 I'll do ALOT of northeast and 2 I cannot vape in truck or my car on company property. I'm not interested in OD anyways.

Old Dominion wants to dictate whether or not your smoke in your car???

I’d say it sounds like they are becoming Saia.Texas_hwy_287 Thanks this. -
Tobacco free workplace, helps keep the company property cleaner and free of cigarette butts
Sadly the cul de sac has seen better days
Texas_hwy_287 Thanks this. -
tobacco free yes....but you can't even VAPE! I quit smoking and now I vape. Nothing like a good flavor and an ice cold liter of water(helps inhance the flavor).

@yankatank I worked at OD and the reason behind banning tobacco products. its to promote wellness among drivers. Also about the cameras it must be just in your area. Here where I worked at cameras are facing the road. OD is nothing like SAIA or southeastern. Im not one of those yahoos who drink the khool aid but I must say OD really treat its drivers well.
Good luck on abf and FedEx you cant go wrong choosing either one.yankatank Thanks this. -
The cameras, subject, came from 2 drivers that are out of NC terminal. Not mentioning names. 1 is a very active user of this forum....anyways, he told me about the tobaccoless policy. You're right, it does make sense. I did quit smoking about 4 years ago. However, I only vape when I drive, since a good cup of coffee and water always goes good with whatever flavor I'm smoking. Plus, as I have stated before, ALOT of guys I have met out of what I would be applying for all say the same thing, all they do is the northeast, until they can make a bid run. My first 4 years of driving was spent in the northeast and I'm pretty much done with that. NO MORE for me! hahaTexas_hwy_287 Thanks this.
