I have an older Airtronic heater. Can you post a picture of how that socket looks? Does this socket connect to a laptop? Do I need to have a software installed?

I think I have one in my service cart at my regular job. The others are at home. I’m on my way in to work now, so I’ll look as soon as I get there.
As for the socket, no, it doesn’t need to connect to anything, though you typically turn it with a small screwdriver or punch.

Probably so. I'm sure they pulled it out, replaced the gaskets, replaced the glow pin screen, etc.
I must've put those in my other service cart... when I worked for Public Works, they had Webasto units on some vehicles, but no Espars, and we have neither in use at the airport that I'm aware of. When I get back home, I'll grab one of my service cart I had at Navajo before they gave the axe to the part-timers in the shop and snap a photo of it.
BTW, those glow pin screens can be a bit of a MF to get out of there... those typically plug up before the glow pin craps out, and if it's not igniting, that's your likely culprit. I have a real tiny set of Snap-On pliers I use for those, but I was in Harbor Freight not too long ago, and saw something similar there.

I think I’ve seen something similar at Harbor Freight and I believe NAPA, as well. But these are spring loaded, so I like to do a little ventriloquist acts with them sometimes. “Hello, my name is Mr. Needlenose. Won’t you be my friend?”, and everyone else will be like, “Jeff, you’re a creepy MF…”

Thanks I have never serviced one. On mine the fan wasent coming on I checked for power it was there and the yellow wire on the control panel was at 12 volts so it was calling for heat.....I'm thinking it's the fan assembly but while I'm there I will change the glow plug and screen

There's a plug right there at the heater itself.. make sure you have power there, as well. Off the top of my head, I don't remember which pin does what, but I have a diagram of it somewhere.

Possibly? I got mine when I worked for Navajo… they came with each replacement glow pin. The trucks at the time had just the Espar heater, and I don’t know who the supplier was. Then they went to the Comfort Pro APUs with electric heating coils, then to the Thermo King APUs with Espar heaters.
