    My Last week at home, fly out Sunday morning. I'm getting a little nervous but mostly excited. Going to miss my youngest daughter, she's 11. That kids my whole world.
    You guys remember your last week before you started? What did you do with your time?
    I have one question to ask because I have asked two recruiters so far no one has answered me. Do I have to pay for the CDL test and license or is it included in the tuition?

    I was given the choice between my home state and Wisconsin. Everybody told me that Wisconsin is the better option. Jamie is a good guy and is fair with his evaluation. It costs $150, or $50 for each of the 3 parts.

    This bizarre, barren landcape isn't the Antarctic, or the surface of some distant planet. This is what the Wayne Madison yard currently looks like. I had to ask the lady in the trailer if I was in the right place.

    If any of you who have been following along have visions of getting your own ride, I have a piece of advice for you that will pay neverending dividends. I just accidentally stumbled upon a broker with a daily run that I'm going to jump on. By itself, it isn't the greatest thing in the world but it's respectable. Even if I had to deadhead back every day, it would work. It has the potential to be the run I do every day for the rest of my life. I just need to have the patience for it to turn into that, because it will. I am working with this broker to develop a new lane. If she can't do it, there are a couple other brokers who can. It just requires trust on their end that you will be there every day and are dependable. You may have to suck it up at first in order to build your kingdom. Lord knows I am right now. Desperation is the worst smelling cologne known to man. Be patient and it will come, even if it takes 8 months, as it did for me.
