Brought Hwy 30 all th way across Indiana today and counted 12 state patrol with big trucks pulled over. All freight haulers. I thought that was odd but thankful at the same time. Must be some kind of blitz I’m assuming ??

Last fall I moved a few loads of cows about ten miles for the ranch manager, they were his personal cows. In trade we were given an open heifer. Put her in the corrals and had her on grain for awhile. We quartered her about two weeks ago and picked up about 200 lbs of ground beef today and with the beef being free we only had to pay the butcher to cut and wrap.

Ended up being about $1.42 a pound.
