Which testing office did you go to? There are personalities at all of them that are witches. You may have drawn a short straw. You are probably best off going to a large facility.
Having said that..its very important that you do every step by the book without exception and keep your narrative accurate. I would forget 100psi for testing purposes. Just wait for compressor to kick off and announce 120psi joyfully when it happens.
Hope you get a better examiner next time.Rideandrepair and Kyle G. Thank this. -
Aren’t you supposed to pump brakes beyond the buzzer and make sure the parking brakes automatically come on?
QuietStorm, AModelCat, Schoob and 5 others Thank this. -
Did u do a tug test it’s part of the air brake incab inspection?
Schoob, Rideandrepair and VinnyVincent Thank this. -
So a couple of you mentioned waiting until the governor cuts out. I think that is the part I'll do differently next time. I did say "It's building to governor cut out at 120-125psi, but I never specifically said "okay the governor stopped at 120psi(even though it was full the first time I started the truck)
So, next time I am just going to wait for it to cut out and say "It cut out at 120psi" instead of driving it once it hits 100psi.
I did that part too, I just never mentioned it in my post to keep it shorter for people reading.Rideandrepair and Kyle G. Thank this. -
Yep did the tug test on both the tractor and the trailer, and also did the 5mph service brake test to make sure it didn't pull left or right. She specifically told me that the mistake I made was with the pressure build up and that I did great on everything elseRideandrepair Thanks this.

Did u mention the that the tractor and trailer valves will pop out 40 psi for the trailer 20 for the truck?
Rideandrepair Thanks this. -
Your wording had to be correct as well. During the 5mph u have to say. My front brakes are in adjustment it didnt pull to the left or the right
Rideandrepair Thanks this. -
That's right. The whole thing is a gawdawful ordeal.Rideandrepair and Badmon Thank this.
