You're gonna think I'm lying, the day after my 27th birthday I got 3 of my top front teeth and all the bone holding them in place, knocked out by the steel lids on a 5 yard container on the back of a 31 yard Leach body.I'm one of the reasons they put plastic lids on dumpsters.
Experience from class B to A

There actually are a few options.
You could probably go to work for a contractor driving a dump truck. If it's a good-sized contractor he may have tractor trailers also or at least he may need somebody to fill in for the low bed.
You could also go to Food Service. The right Food Service Place May hire you for class A or you may have to work as a helper or on the dock or something and they'll promote you.
Also if you're in an area where there is ABF Freight or some other LTL, they often will train you if you work on the docks. I think ABF has their own Driving School. I think they're Union also.
Good luck.BigMack123, Tombstone69 and Rideandrepair Thank this. -
They don’t care. It’s recent exp they want, Unfortunately.Tombstone69 Thanks this.

Yeah. I know.I just get a little upset when I see where the industry has gone and how companies are taking advantage. They don't want experience, they want robots.Rideandrepair Thanks this.

And they can’t wait to get them. ..... Meanwhile
Tombstone69 Thanks this. -

Right in front of me.35yrs ago, I can still picture it.Schoob Thanks this. -
Now you said the magic word.Jcris4991 said: ↑I’m going through this now. I have 9 years class B experience and only a year in a T/T and basically nobody cares. I’ve been on countless interviews w companies that read my resume wrong and then told me to scram or come back when you have 2 years. It’s driving me nuts to the point in about to start lying to people. My driving is solid my record spotless. They don’t wanna insure you is what it comes down to.Click to expand...
Insurance. THEY Decide who gets the job, none of the company stuff like interviewing.Tombstone69 and Schoob Thank this.
