How to read my odometer??

.1 is a tenth of a mile,

So your odometer reads one hundred fifty thousand, seven hundred fifty and one tenth of a mile.

But you probably reached the odometer’s limits as far as placing a digit into the million place so it’s probably 1,150,750.1 miles.

 

I have a 2001 Volvo that is almost at one million miles and there’s no place on the digital odometer readout for another number, so when it turns one million miles, it will read 000,000.0 again.

 

It's also possible that the original odometer went kaput and had to be replaced at some point.
If that happened, it's SUPPOSED to be reported to you upon purchase...
But..

 

On that cluster style there is provision for million miles number but it’s also true in 2001 it. Was not the case. Note of both cluster it is possible to reprogram the cluster with the correct milage using Volvo software but the cluster involve need to have the same serial number than the truck. Also the eecu keep the total milage of vehicule in memory for reprograming reference if require. Ben

 

Go on ebay and buy a fresh one that starts at zero

 

When u change a cluster on Volvo it has to be programmed that puts mileage and parameters to match your vin it’s not a plug and play

 

There is two possibility , use a blank cluster from dealer inventory and program milage and S N of the truck at the dealer garage OR order a clister through the dealer parts system already programmed with the correct SN and the milage you wish. That one will be plug and play.

 

I have pictures on my old phone showing the millionth mile. I stopped at 999,999.9, then rolled forward to 0.0. There were no extra zeros...just 0.0 miles showing.
