Well... I don't think I can legally work tomorrow (24h/previous14days Canada)... even though kt says i could...

If I go anyway at say 2 am Saturday.. pa could still advance their road closure and I'd be jammed up anyway...

Plus I have a bunch of stuff to do at home tomorrow....

I think I will sit here and see what it looks like at 6 am Sunday..

My town, which is 10 miles east of Allentown on I 78, has decreed that all vehicles MUST be removed from borough streets by 8 AM Saturday. Towing begins at noon. Snow may begin at 4 PM. Should turn to rain around midnight then get colder Sunday after 9 AM. Emergency scheduled to end Sunday 8 AM. $$ racket.

    Rocks and x1Heavy Thank this.

It got pretty cold here in Mojave CA , down in the 40's last night almost had to put on a real jacket before I took the Harley to Taco Bell. But we did get some hellacious rain. for a week or so. But here they do close for wind.

I'm beginning to hate these snowstorms. Every time one rolls in our idiot Governor thinks he needs to close the interstates to trucks. Which, in theory is not a bad plan, except he apparently doesn't realize that some people DO have to still run. I'm not talking about the general freight carriers here, but the specialized carriers. Those that pick up milk, service power plants, etc.

The power plants we service can only run about 40 hours before we have to get some lime to them. So, before the storm hits, we run around like a bunch of circus clowns filling the silos. And as soon as things open up, we gotta repeat the process. Fortunately, it doesn't look like this one will affect us too much. But still ..

Is that on the old 309 by chance?

I used to get into Allentown and surrounding area on ice all the time with flatbed loading going in and coming out empty. A few times I allow the drives to spin at idle upgrade at red lights to hold everything still on ice in some of those towns.
