Probably just as well. Travel is going to be extremely difficult at best even if you wanted to go

Even if you wanted to go, you would be very wise not to. I don't care if your load delivers to Maine on Monday, you aint going to make it.

The travel ban and the state of emergency are not one in the same. The state of emergency allows the state to pull additional resources from neighboring states and private businesses without all the red tape and to utilize the National Guard. The travel ban is in effect for ALL commercial vehicles, including buses and pick up trucks hauling trailers commercially.

We had an inch of snow last night and I saw 2 big trucks through the guardrail and in a ditch. Two separate highways. It's best to shut them down.

You best get moving. You have about roughly 30 hours before the brunt of the storm gathers steam where you are and CT as well.

Ok... let's see... it's at least 18:30 hrs driving from here to receiver... not counting 10 hr breaks and fuel stops and 30 mins breaks and road and weather conditions... Right now I have only 4:30 hrs available from my 70 and I am taking a 34 till tomorrow at 6:30 am...
Between here and OH/ PA border is about 9 hrs if no delay... which might be hard with snow, sleet, freezing rain, strong winds and traffic.... Then I would have to find parking which might be another challenge with rest areas and truck stops full because of the weather and the ban.... then I would have to sit and wait till ban is lifted... maybe Sunday at noon or later who knows.... then I would still have at least 10 more hrs to drive to receiver if no more delays.... However I wouldn't drive till 11 pm and have no place to park... :biggrin_25512: receiver doesn't allow parking at their place....
Finally, I would still have to reschedule this delivery for Tuesday... they go by appt. only and it has to be scheduled 48 hrs in advance.
Sorry for the looooong posting.... but I thought it was necessary.... :biggrin_25519:

Look at it as an adventure. Be optimistic. Who knows, it might all work out for you.
