Trucking Jobs in 30 seconds
Every month 400 people find a job with the help of TruckersReport.

Cost of living?
-
Thats in the contract. 40 cents a year, 20 for the first 6 months, then another 20 for the last 6 months. Dont spend it all in one place now.
-
P.S.
i got bumped off my "dream" run-----guaranteed run, 400 miles a night, absolutely NO dockwork bullcrap, just driving. This is one of the best runs in the company.
So, i'm on extra-board now. This is a "NG" non-guaranteed run in case you can't tell. Although it does seem to be picking up.
So, that's another reason for the lame checks.LtlAnonymous Thanks this. -
Has their freight system recovered since they ran it out like they did for the contract?LtlAnonymous Thanks this.

i don't think it's completely back to normal, but it does seem to be picking back up. The first of the year may also be the cause of slowness.LtlAnonymous Thanks this.

Spring will be the true measure. If your checks are still light by April, theres problems. I've also heard that junior feeders at the terminal near me are getting light checks right now, too.LtlAnonymous Thanks this.

So how you doing with your food?
Why don't you post some of your checks? -
Im doing wine and liquor for a large privately owned company based out of CA, but im in NJ. My first few checks I cleared almost $1k a week for about 52-55 hours. But I dont get paid holidays yet, so when we had off for new years and the day after, I didnt get paid. And when we have off for MLK on Monday I wont be paid either. Were also entering the timeframe where junior guys wont be working about 2 mondays out of the month until Memorial Day comes around. But overall, my pay has been better then what I was making at freight. Granted, I have to deliver to the ghetto sometimes, bit I'm pretty used to it by now.
I'm calling ABF again in another month. I had applied to them last August, and when I finally talked to their TM in October, he said he could hire me on but I might only get part time hours once the winter came around. Or he could hire me full-time come March. I'm just hoping he remembers who I am when I call over there lol. They were starting guys at top rate and putting dudes on the seniority list right away after probation last summer cuz they were hurting for drivers so bad.SidewaysBentHalo and LtlAnonymous Thank this. -
Not me, but fairly accurate:
