4MG is the best of the narrow rod motors in my opinion. The 425 used a 3013 pump cam with the pin set at 18°. Hydrualic advance as well as return on the adavance itself was more stable on timing compared to the spring return on the 7FB's. They did bump the compression up from 14.5 to 1 to 15.2 to one. Also went from six larger holes in the nozzle to 7 smaller holes which gave a finer spray pattern. I don't have access to sis to say if it's a 425 though off the serial number anymore

Just seen @SAR reply. Umm less you wanna do a full rebuild it's a boat anchor

Its amazing at the nice old Pete's that have a 310 transplanted and the owner cant fathom why I can't turn it up and make it run lol.

Pump has different cam and torque group. Advance has a different curve.

    Engine cam is different
    Pistons are different
    Of course nozzles and turbo.

Also that rumor of if its air to air it's a 425 was a complete farse lol.

Some of you guys were talking yesterday about dogs on the furniture. My wife made a deal with Nemo...if she gave him his own chair he would stay off the rest of the furniture. So far he's holding his end of the deal. IMG_20190120_084523.jpg

Went outside this morning to let my four legged bud do his business.......stepped off porch into a 2 ft drift. Jamy pants and boots with no socks....muttered some choice words. My bud went and did his writing in the snow then proceded to run at me full bore.....ever see a large man planted in a snow drift spread eagle ? Me neither I did it !! Only one of us came back inside in a good mood !!!
