I'm hesitant to put this up but here goes. Know that I do not have any skin in this game. I also have no favorites. About the discussion on the heavy haul last night. I can agree with uniformity in the permit system, axle spacing, weight per axle and group. Life would have to be much easier. BUT the 48 contigious states aren't all the same. The New England states are densely populated. Out west in some states, not much around in some areas. In the east lots of bridges over railroads, other roads, etc. In Louisiana highways over long expanses of water. Michigan has crap roads in part because of the lack of a solid base. MN and WI may be the same way I don't know for sure. I have only been to WI once. These are just a few examples of the differences from east to west and north to south. So, how to write one rule to fit all?

I usually prefer to let the pioneers rush out first and get murdered by the indians.
Works just as good after a storm as it does on DOT week. Nothing better than having half a dozen hard chargers blow my doors off coming up on a weigh station, to fill it up before I have to pull in. -
It’s a good thing we didn’t get into this business because it’s easy, right? The easier it is, the cheaper the rates will get.Feedman, 1951 ford, BigCam9670 and 22 others Thank this.

I have pulled very "few small" os/ow loads. Get me outta here. I hated every minute of it. But I still like hearing and seeing what those guys go through.

From Carlisle East the Roads should be just wet, the Snow didn't last too long last night before it changed to Rain
Be careful though, the Temp is going to start dropping like a Rock shortly and that Wet Road will be Ice

What’s the chances you can even get into your drop spot? I’m assuming your just itching to get closer is all?

Well we just got un neighour like. I informed the 60 year old man that bought the house behind me with a new snowblower. If I see him splatter snow on my vehicle one more time it will be the end of his snowblowing days. "oh I didnt think oh sorry". You have to imagine how far a rock will travel? Oh sorry. Just shows you stupidity in every generation, and why some mothers eat there young. -
Different mindset. You know how, if you’re pulling a reefer, you back up to the docks, get loaded, pull forward close the doors and boogity boogity? Pulling open deck requires more adjustments mentally. OSOW is another mental adjustment, but it differs per state.Feedman, 1951 ford, BigCam9670 and 18 others Thank this.

Me and I guy in the hood used to do alot of sidewalks, and driveways just because. Helping others out. I would run down and do his if he was at work, or he would do mine. Normally hit every house in between. He has since moved. Not one other person helps or says thanks. Guess its time to join the self righteous A-hole club. Im done with neighbors. First and last time living in town with city folk. Time for a change.
