I dont plan on parking up or doing anything crazy to protest anything. It will amount to losing money for me, more frustration about truckers to the general public, and not a thing changed. Yes if the big companies parked it would, but do you seriously see that happening? They love money. A few owner operators will be a drop in the bucket

While I know you're right, there MUST be a better solution... we just need to find it
    and make-it-happen!

[QUOTE="Moving we are slave labor that's exactly what it is the manufacturers the major trucks companies and the US government want to keep us poor just enough money to eat not enough to live on not enough to advance they tell you we are not skilled which we all know that we are not everybody can do this job right and every American truck driver sees this and knows this and that's why they quit driving we're expendable and They Don't Care About Us everybody gets their pie we get none crust is not pie until we find a president that's for the people instead of the manufacturers is going to stay this way because the truck drivers will not band together and shut it down

    Trucking isn’t for everybody.

If you’re an owner operator, you need to adapt to the situation.

If you’re a driver, find a different company.

Hahahaha So many people. So much manipulation.

Me: Can I have a target painted on my back too?

Them: Only if you join FB.

Me: So what you’re saying is, you discriminate against people who refuse to be manipulated and controlled for your specific motives? Gotcha

I’ll keep my man card. Thanks.

Truckers and the industry just needs better PR. We currently have none. We need BETTER PR!

What I mean by this is; national commercials on national tv. Especially on the channels that day time tv, soap operas, the judge shows and etc come on.

•Commercials highlighting the trucking world in a patriotic, multi cultural, blue collar, delivering America’s standard of living type of way.
•playing patriotic music like drum rolls and horns, with American flags waving in the background, and truckers from different walks; driving, securing, delivering and waving their families good bye.
**** + a commentator with one of those beefed up deep voices.

The commercial would only be ten seconds give or take but would embody all of this. This commercial would be ran for years, and revised as need be. It could be paid for by owner ops since the big fleets probably don’t want it. $2 extra on OOIDA dues, maybe .02 a gallon on NASTC and COMDATA transactions. (Don’t know about the funding part exactly, just a plan that I would do, COMDATA probably wouldn’t participate (lol) )

With better public relations more people outside of the trucking would care and pay attention to the industry, it’s highlights and its flaws.
