Thanks for the update!! I hope he took our good natured ribbing the way we meant it????
Tell him not to be a stranger and come on here and say Hi occasionally.
So does he have a cooler, TV and all the creature comforts yet?

Oh yes he took the ribbing well.. but you were nice compared to what he got from me
He realized it was no ones fault but his own and went with it.. His laptop has a screen problem so I will loan him another one before he leaves so he can keep contact with everyone again. As for the toys, gps, cb, power inverter and cooler he had to return the first cooler was too big to fit under the bed in the Volvo so will be switching that one out for a smaller one, so we'll get him loaded and with everything he needs to be safe out there

Thanks Jess for your time and help I am looking to try and do school in a month are so wanna get ahead a few truck payments and a few other bills as I know might be a month are so b4 I get a pay check do you know where the nearest school is to Ga ?
-
You can get a grant that pays for pretty much everything if you attend a Tech school in Ga for your training. The classes are 9-10 weeks long but it beats having to be tied down to a company for a long time and pay interest as well.

Conley GA, if they have the School up and running again which they dont so JJ just informed me! So WVC (Salt Lake City) Utah
On a side Note Central DO NOT accept recent school graduates from other Schools.Last edited: Mar 16, 2009

That is a very common problem with them, they never seem to know if its a live load or a D/H.
He should just do what I do & call the both ends of the load to see what the deal is.
99% of the Kraft loads we do are D/H's, but they are always marked as live loads on our info. Only other place I can think of that's almost always a D/H is the cold storage place up the in Clearfield, UT. However if its a live load out of there you should expect to be there awhile. -
1bad just called and he is way to heavy to leave. So he is stuck until he can get back in the cave. They told him most likely tomorrow afternoon. That will make him late on his delivery here and he will lose a day of home time. He is not a very happy camper right now. I told him that this will happen. But having ran out of miles the last thing he needs to do is run heavy. He hasn't had anything to eat or any coffee and is now out of smokes and can't go anywhere. Shouldn't they let him unhook for a few to hit a flying j that is like 5 miles down the road? Then come back and re hook up. Just curious still trying to learn the ins and outs.
-
He won't lose the time off, he will just be there a day later then planed. As far as the unhooking goes its kinda dicey. Before E-logs it didn't matter, but now I wouldn't do it. However thats just me.

That's what I was thinking. But dam a man has to eat. He hasn't eaten since lunch yesterday! His truck isn't set up yet b/c he hasn't been home. So he has no cooler to store anything in. All he has w/ him right now is a couple warm bottles of water. I told him to call dispatch and talk to them and see what they have to say.

If they allow him to drop his trailer there he can go to a T/S and come right back. As far as elogs go it will be charged on line 3 just as if he were driving line 5 is only used on your trip home for H/T. Tell him to call his D/M but I don't see a problem as long as the trailer is secure I do it all the time and I'm company to.
