I guess I have been lucky. I drain my tanks regularly and I only made the mistake of setting my trailer brakes one time in Michigan. When I went to sleep there was only about 6" of snow on the ground when I woke up I was buried and didn't want to get under there to beat on the drums but had to. You only make that mistake once in frozen Michigan!

Unless it's wet out I don't bother sticking to that advice. To unstick them you just need to ring the bell. The only issue I keep having is my tractor brakes sticking. Not as safe to keep those released bobtail.

Did you get them unstuck?

Forgot all about this post 'til a new "thanks" alert showed up...
I just got in trouble last week with a friend's wife (well, HE got an earful and told me she wasn't happy, anyway...not MY problem!) because I was helping him re-seat the bead on one of the tires on his F250...holding my 16 month old boy with one hand while lighting the ether with a propane torch with the other.
Apparently, he'd watched some youtube videos and had attempted it in the past with some sketchy results, so she had it in her mind that it couldn't be done safely... -
My wife just laughed and said "I'm just glad you know what you're doing."
