Thanks for the fast response. I am putting TruckLite driving lights in place of the factory fog lamps. It is taking some work, but should be better. I would like to match the Trucklite 27270C model to the driving lights as they are cheaper, but the Trucklite model has a more uniformly round back that might not fit the headlight bucket like you've shown.

The running lamp housing are regular factory replacements? What exact bulbs are you using and are they strictly amber LED? I have seen some that are white for DRL and then turn amber when flashing. I think I have seen some kit for that conversion.

The shape of the back of the headlights should not matter, so long as they aren't too deep. Mine only made contact with the "customized" housing around the rim, just like a regular sealed bulb assembly would.

The Leds are the JDM 3030 with 3157 in Switchbacks, White for DRL, Amber for Marker/turn. No kit necessary, just plug them in.

Here is my work done. Also have a plan to do the same with DTRL/Turn signal lights, found some 5.75 inch size on EBay. A91890D9-CB10-4065-A6D3-4EB1F5AC2425.jpeg

Very nice! I've found some 5.75 DRL/Turn complete led fixtures that I'd prefer, but I don't have an installation plan yet. The rear, three stud installation that Grote/Freightliner uses on the fixture doesn't lend itself to many aftermarket options. Please post what you work out. Thanks

I had a 2006 Century that I put in the 7" LED by Grote.
I had the same fixtures as you.
I use to have a1998 Century that used the traditional 7" round headlights. So I went to a wrecking yard and got the headlight assembly from an older truck, they just bolted right in.

    I just bought a 2018 132 Glider, I absolutely hate the #### headlight system.
I'm looking into a cheaper, yet more custom looking as well as effective solution.

I built custom cars for years and when I come to the day of my project I'll post pic's as well as part #'s and vendors..

I have a 2014 Coronado glider with the 9006 & 9005 7” headlights. I have purchased the 7” leds. I had to purchase the plug and play harness off of eBay for the 2 plugs and purchased the Harley Davidson/Jeep cj, wrangler, etc bracket. Will have to do some minor mods on the hood where the headlight goes but nothing major just drill out some holes for the bracket to fit properly.
