Oh... you're going to own it! After the lease is up in 5 years (or whatever's left on the lease after 5-10 other guys ran thier ##### across the seat and bedspread) and you've paid almost $50,000 already towards it, you're going to pay another $50,000 or so to own it!
He he he.. stupid - like me!

Funny... I kept in touch with 13 of out of the 19 people I went through orientation with 2 months ago. 3 didn't even make it through orientation with 1 of them exclaiming "this place is full of BS" and storming out! Out of that 12, 8 are now sitting home - including 2 company drivers! That leaves six lease operators in just one Pittston class that called it quits withing a month and a half because of the lies, low pay, high cost of the lease or other miscellaneous problems (family, health, etc.) NOTHING in the combination of things like tons of dead head, low paying loads, 2-4 days every week spent sitting at a truck stop will make you succeed! There's absolutely NO LUCK to it either. You cleverly opted not to mention the possibility of drivers LYING about their positions - I suppose it's a tactic not unheard of, eh????? Then again, $450.00 a week before taxes IS great for some guys who are lucky enough to live in the southern tier of this country... Try living on that on Long Island where my taxes alone sans mortgage are over $1000.00/month.
It's all subjective. Find out 'where they're coming from' first BEFORE we generalize results and assume they're applicable to all drivers/LOs.

$100 a week is low --> Even a JB Hunt driver makes more than that, but you should be enjoying your time off and it is getting warmer.

Yes I am, things have started to pick up again. last 2 weeks $700 and then $1000. so picking up good. had a good discussion with my dm and he understands more of my mentality of lets make some money. but all in all Prime has done what it was set up to do for me. I just came in to get my CDL and go from there local and have decided to stay out OTR. I enjoy it and making good money, just have to watch my dm on what loads he gives me. Only thing I want to do now is own my own truck become an O/O.
