Brokers... what's the point

    They just get you a random load correct? Why did someone tell me if an owner/operator wants to book his own loads he's required to have a brokers license? I am confused

    I used to book my own loads in '05 & '06 & I didn't have a brokers licence. Hummmm.... hope the broker police dont come cuff & stuff me.
    Dont mean it aint illegal but if it is, no one gave me any issues in that 2 years. :dontknow:

    Are you booking your own loads to run, or are you booking freight from a customer for other people to run? Therein lies the difference.

    to be blunt, screw everyone else. hypothetically speaking i got my own truck, trailer, authority and i wanna drive my own truck. i need a brokers license too?

    I am a new Broker agent. Been driving over 30 years and I hope I can be a positive influence on this side of the phone. I have had bad experiences with brokers in the past and I want to be better than that. I want to hear what "PROFESSIONAL DRIVERS" really need from their brokers. (P/U #, correct addresses....I get that, what else?)
