    If your gonna start out having to change trans or rears you need more than 4500 off. I ain't tryin to sound like a dick at all. I'm just trying to give you some serious honest advice.

    They were made by spicer and just were a straight 7 speed no hi/low range selector

    I dont plan on changing right off. Just gathering info for if/when one or the other gives up the ghost what a better replacement would be.

    I’ve only driven a 7 speed International behind a DT466 in a service truck about twice. This was an Eaton, don’t know anything about them except he loved it.

    Honestly you don’t need two speed rears to pull a hopper bottom. That truck will have been worked hard I can promise that
