What effect do tall tires have besides a slight change of the final gearing ?

Select Low Low and keep it there until you're on dry pavement from what was discussed yesterday.

 

I don't know about ride harshness, and I assume that they have more rolling resistance, but I like them for ground clearance. That and they work well for my rear end ratios.

And, I have never shaved my tires.....I do sipe them though!

How much does it cost to get your tires siped? I’m assuming they’ll only do the drives?
