I just called RM and whoever answered to phone advised me to “Tell Rand” within the unit... lol ... ok, I could swear that I was “telling Rand”... via phone call... ok, what ever.

    So I did...

Mine finally stopped asking me if I wanted to install so I guess it’s ok now.

Sad to hear about Mark. He helped a lot of us out. I finally got my power issue fixed with my tnd80 but anyone else here who has the same device, when was the last update? I don't mean maps necessarily but like a poi update. Several new stops have opened up in the last year or so and my GPS goes bonkers when I pull into one. Shows me ambling about a giant open field.

Think my RM730 is kicking the bucket.

Occasionally when i power it on the screen will be black with the backlight on, or gray an stay that way until i press reset button.

    Any ideas?

I'm sorry guys. Mark's heart was always 100% with you guys and he went above and beyond to help TTR folks. It was not his decision. (Corporate)
He is very busy hauling Amazon trailers around now down south, making a living back as a driver. It is a loss for us here who used to have "an inside" line to direct support on Rand devices. If others here can't instantly answer your question (because sometimes we can!) then please hammer the support hotline over there as needed (1-877-446-4863 Monday - Friday / 7AM - 6PM CST)

(p.s. there is a chance that Mark may still go to M.A.T.S. and G.A.T.S. for those who care. I'll let you know if he confirms that.)

Mark cant assist like he used to, but I hope some of you guys have heard about this or have experienced this issue. I have the tnd80. I solved the charging issue after discovering the whole amp thing. Working fine until yesterday. I plugged her up and hit the power button. Got the logo, then the compass, and nothing. Been staring at a loading compass since yesterday. Tried the paper clip in the reset hole, but it's rinse and repeat. I thought I could do the trick what you hold down the power when booting while at the same time pressing volume up(like putting an android phone into boot mode) but nothing. I don't have my laptop with me so i can't hook it up and see if the computer recognizes it. When i first got the GPS, before i knew about the wifi updates, i had tried using the usb cord with my laptop and at that time although it wouldn't recognize it in the dock software, the computer itself recognized it as a storage device. So short of calling into rand and being told to send it in with another 100 or so dollars, any ideas or tips?

On the RM 740 is there any way to recall or see your list of "add via" stops after you have added them to your route? For example you pick a route from Nashville to Memphis via I-40. You add truckstops in Dickson, Jackson, Brownsville, TN. After you add those stops, can you see the list of stops on your route or at least see which is your next stop. My example is a simple route, but on more complicated routes I would like to review my list and/or the order of stops. My workaround is to add an unnecessary stop and then select "reorder trip" just to see the list. I'm hoping there is another way to see that list.
    Thanks

The stops are listed in your “trip” folder
