Really? Thats interesting.......I havent driven in temps this low in about 20 years........I remember being in Minnesota when it was 57 below........everything was cold....trucks on side of road gellin up....we couldnt even keep the cab warm......had to replace rubber around doors......and definately had to bloc k radiator.......
Brutal arctic cold Expected to hit the Midwest and northeast by middle of next week.

The Alky in the Air Lines i use to do the same thing. I also never set the trailer brakes just the tractor especially if you have been driving on wet salted roads with it being that cold the trailer brakes would freeze up and then it was time to get the torch and hammer out..

TheRoadWarrior and bigkev1115 Thank this. -
Some mechanics have said that the alcohol in airlines is a bad idea.....as it tears stuff up....? I will still do it ......I mean, its not like its so frequently done that its gonna cause too much of an issue.....and, if My lines are frozen , and if Ive routinely drained air tanks they SHOULDNT be.......I WILL get them UN frozen using whatever means necessary........within reason.....i.e no Sulphuric acid etc......lol
