One other thing about FFE is be comfortable driving at night. Its not mandatory, but you will be in Lancaster waiting for your trailer going to New Jersey (just an example, it can be going anywhere), is usually ready late night. You wanna hook up and roll when it's ready so you can get there and get your next load. Waiting until dawn is fine but might take money out of your pocket cus you won't get there as quickly.

you may be able to do local around houston depends what you need .... rover on ltl is good experience but you need to get in good with a load planner every where you go or you won't get the better loads ..... Monday through Wednesday or Thursday you be delivering then they usually have you take another line haul to another terminal . that pays real good after you get the hang of things ..... it used to be hard to transfer from truckload to ltl probably still is so I would get ltl from the start ffe ..... call ffe recruiting to sign up
