JD didn’t invent the sixty series. It was created by a K-series Cummins engineer. At the time that Cummins was having good luck with the n-14 which was based off of the 855 block. They passed. So he shoped it to JD who was looking to purchase Detroit at the time. Roger Penske wound up buying Detroit and JD went with putting Cummins Engines in some of the larger tractors. JD had nothing to do with the S60

But JD i didnt say John Deere invented it. I mentioned a engineer that worked for JD. I did and have reseached this. I might have confussed a few thing.
