I will say when that tire let go I was passin a reefer that Id been behind and we were just gettin onto I10 rollin about 55. My that tire was just in front of his door when it went boom. I heard it and checked my mirrorsand and that dude flew over to the shoulder. I bet he he stopped up the road to check his boxers as well lol.

I don't know what kinda "issues" you had with Mercedes, I had a Mercedes only shop for many years. The early 1990's had wiring issues from biodegradable insulation, the early 2000's CAN bus systems were another. Since the late ott's early teens the cars are much better.

In the trade BMW is known to be a high maintenance brand AKA Bavarian Manure Wagons. The battery issue may be reinitalizing stuff? On many Mercedes there are two batteries, a system battery and a starting battery. The starting battery won't affect the systems status.

I had an 85 500SEC AMG wide body that was a gray market car. The issues I had with it were a constant, seemed weekly, need for ignition components. Then some heater valve thing that had something to do with the windshield went on walkabout which rendered the whole heating system awol. Loved the car, was an amazing ride and years ahead of anything domestic as far as amenities but much like the Bavarian Manure Wagon I have now, I needed weekly visits to your Mercedes specific shop for the little things that always seemed to be wrong with it.
