My guess 7-8 k. From my understanding he is single no kids no morgage.

He only had 4.5% of his income witheld.

 

Yeah, but if he's russian, they always have some kind of unique tax scam going, so he'll probably GET BACK 7-8k. Lol.

 

Oh right, ouch. It's been a while since I was in that situation, and I sure as hell wasn't making good money back then.

My own situation requires around 12% federal withholding, but I have kids helping bump things down a bit. I'm curious how the new larger standard deduction and no personal exemption will affect things.

Supposedly we'll be a little better off, but I'm skeptical. I think they played a shell game on us and just moved money around. I was also claiming the per diem before, but that's out the window, too. We shall see.
