It is very interesting and technically demanding, but those nights pulling the driveline out of a truck on the shoulder of the road when it is 10 below, the wind is howling, and idiot drivers won't get over aren't my fondest memories.

That and laying under a dripping truck with your legs in the road dropping a driveshaft laying in the slush as cars try to run your legs over. -
That is bad ###.
But I dont miss the days of making sure things are tied down in the cab before you tilt it...lol -
I know it has its drawbacks but I’d still like to try it.

I know a couple guys that are in their 60’s that run a heavy wrecker most of their lives, they both say it’s a young mans job and will make a young man old pretty quick.

Recovery work is kind of like crane work on steroids in that you combine vertical lifting with lateral pulling, using snatch blocks to gain directional control and increased capacity.
I bet you would be very good at it! -
