You know how, when you been riding in the saddle for days, and you're out in the open, going down the road, anticipating that next curve...and your senses get heightened. You see everything, you feel everything, you smell everything. It's like drugs. You get hooked and you're done.
I've found that there is absolutely nothing in the world that I enjoy more on planet earth, than taking a long motorcycle trip. It's the most enjoyable thing you can do with clothes on.bigguns, peterbilt_2005, wore out and 22 others Thank this. -

You know you win a lot of trophies when you give them to a 6 year old instead of keeping them.

the biggest I ran was a 72 Star with a Holmes 750 mechanical with a 30 ton hydraulic deck winch added, I was backup on it and ran a Louisville 6000 single axle with a Holmes 600 with a 20 ton deck winch with 300 ft of 5/8 cable for longline recovery and ice fishing. the boss had built a light I beam sled for tipping into the hole a car or truck went trough and a diver would go down and hookup and I would stand off about 100 ft with the back end of the deck braced on a 4'X8' pad and used the boom winches to control the sled once the car was on the sled and ready to tip onto the ice. two winters of towing and one of heavy ice fishing was all I wanted. I gave up seasonal work and went full time OTR.
