Hey, I been meaning to ask you something @stwik.

How do you tear up an alternator? I've seen guys tear out transmissions and destroy tires. I've seen them run into stuff and bash in a hood or fender and I've watched them Bend the hell out of a bumper....but I've never seen a guy melt down an alternator. Dam millennials

Yes but then only half as much air goes through each filter so just use twice as much either? That is while you have the door open, twisting the starter and spraying it in the left air filter yourself.
I saw two clowns doing something like that. They just kept spraying cranking spraying cranking more and more while it would surge a little and a little more. When they finely got enough to the engine for it to fire it started sucking air. Then it pulled all that juice built up in that one filter and went into airplane mode.
If you are ever in that spot maybe just tie a trash bag over one and use the other.

 

Sigh. I don’t know man... my T660 went through an alternator and a starter my short time in that truck...

My Ram has gone through an alternator ALREADY. And I did the Tacoma’s alternator the last time I was home before Christmas...

Just that year for alternators I guess.

It did the “alternator hop” as @peterbilt_2005 put it. Batteries would hold with the APU going... turn off APU and I could watch the volts drop.

Out of all places to breakdown... Denver seems to be my place. 3/4 times I deliver here... I break down.

Well you got remember he’s a millennial, he’s probably running a tv, a couple video game consoles, microwave, electric blanky, crappuccino machine, charging his phone and laptop plus sleeping with the light on.

 

Probably melted from the strain of running the 2 ovens and 3 microwaves, the blender, the food processor and the dishwasher all at once. The Stomach has special dietary needs.
I'm surprised it lasted as long as it did to be honest.
