Who has an auxiliary fuel tank/toolbox combo mounted on a chassis/cab? I have an RDS 91 gallon combo I want to mount safely and securely. Any advice, pics, etc would be great. Thanks.

2 holes drilled into frame for each bracket with grade #8 bolts with locking nuts may hold it on without seeing it?

I have a 90gal that I installed last weekend. The tool box is sufficient, and not having to fuel every 250 miles is a plus. Mine had 3 tabs to drill through, measure twice. This model came with 3 bolts and springs, you want it to give some room to move, if not the wholes in the bed will get bigger.

Chassis cab, no bed, only frame rails. My thought is to have a steel plate, roughly 65”x 39” fabbed up, mount it to the frame with some bushings to acct for some twist, and then mount the tank to the plate. There should be enough structural integrity if I use say 1/4” plate. Any thoughts?

that sounds good.

Don't do a plate, do a frame around the box bottom out of 3/16 2" angle then cross bars where the mounting tabs are. You would want cushion between the box and frame Northern Tool has some nice rubber mat for this purpose.
Are you doing a mini 5th wheel?
