I'm in the market for a new seat for my RD688 dump truck. The seat that's in the truck is alright, I just want something more comfortable. I want a high back with armrests. Are there brands that I should avoid? Will I need to replace the floor bracket with the new seat or will I be able to mount the new seat to the floor bracket that's already in the truck? Sorry if these are dump questions, I'm new to the "owner" part of trucks. Thanks

Should bolt right to the existing mount that in the truck or a new seat with new mount should bolt right in?

Bostrom wide ride is a terrible seat.

What don't you like about the wide ride? I was looking at the Bostrom, National and Sears

Nationals aren’t bad,I’ve had them they are cheap in some ways. Prices are good. Bostrom, I bought 2 11 yrs ago, seat has leaked air in lumbar since new, also has a hard seat with steel right near tailbone. Seat doesn’t flip up, so can’t be changed or repaired like most others. Also has hard steel at top, if in an accident would be dangerous. For my budget, I think Legacy made by seats inc. , I believe is the best way to go. Most say they’re happy with the Legacy Silver, Freightliner Dealers about $600. The National has a nice reclining with an optional swivel base. But Bostron despite reputation as being a premium seat, is pretty badly made and not serviceable, mines way overdue for the dumpster.
