Certain companies that have a high volume of trailers, have people that all they do is tarp the loads.

I've only seen 1 maybe 2 places in 25 years that have someone that helps tarp. The one is a steel tubing place.

A lot of lumber doesn't have to be tarped, woods like doug fir or spruce.Exotics and soft wood need tarping. A lot of wood comes pre wrapped.Plywood absolutely has to be tarped unless you're absolutely sure it's not going to rain, and even then I wouldn't take the chance. Some sheets like A B cherry or walnut cost 80-100$ a sheet. It's all about driver discretion and what the customer wants. You let a load get weather damage and it gets rejected, you bought it.Soft woods are hardest to tarp on a count of its light and there's more of it and the boards are all different lengths, and you better tarp every bit of it and tight because it sucks water like a sponge. On the other hand I used to pick up mahogany in the port, already had moisture in it no tarp half the size.Every load is different, that's what makes skateboarding so challenging.

No. Just a valid employment time as you work around your challenges in life. Experience does not apply here.

    HOWEVER.

    Bonus.

You will be able to in time stick a trailer any way but loose. =)

Every curve that I take, it's at least 5 under the marked speed limit, sometimes 10.

We did drop and hook at Atlas Tube in Chicago. Our company paid a guy $25 a trailer to tarp. He could make $300 in the morning, then go to community college after that. Not a bad life for a young kid!

chemical. i had to climb up top, trying not to look down, so that i could make sure the lids were all closed...

then another job i had (less than 2 nights) i had to climb on top of a diesel fuel tanker, to open up the lids, and close them....

i surprised myself, i stayed for a second night, but i was trying to convince myself, being scared of heights, was all in my head......lol
