I find for pulling hills heavy keeping it about 1550 pulls hards but can be drugged down to 1200 on 565 1850 power down shifting back to 1600 tops if need be. Iam still breaking in her in at 30k right now but I find Iam usually pulling hills 10mph faster than other guys loaded near same weight if heavy. Takes big hill to drag my speed down if under 50-60k

Still wondering what’s best cruising rpm on this thing tho I’ve gotten into 7 on mpg on light loads. Anyone else having fuel water separator issues clogging a lot?
-
My water separator used to not even need changing at my 15,000 mile service. Did it anyways, but this fall I seemed to have to change it in between services for some reason. It's better now again, strange it being winter and all but I'm not gonna complain.

11-1500, like a Mack I suppose. That’s what mine seems to like.Hegemeister Thanks this.

Yes! It was clogging every 6k. Complained to the dealer. Found the existing filter is about 10 microns. Dealer said to change it to a 30 micron filter p/n K37-1012. So far after 6k miles it is looking really good. Guage still reading a 2. Same reading as when installed.Cookie931 Thanks this.

And that’s on a x15 what’s ur primary filter that ur using? I would be ok with 15 k changes but less than 8 seems excessive
-
I'm not at the truck right now, but the engine mounted filter stays the same. I think it's about 5 or 6 micron. I just changed the 1st filter. The tech that changed my oil said the 30 micron is what should have been in there in the first place.
