I'll try. There are very few on road engines that come through the door. Mostly dozers and rock trucks.

Nope. Right in town. I have zero interest in going any further north than the last set of lights leaving town these days. I like my quick 10 minute commute lol.

I will be interested to hear anything that you learn in regard to the 730C2 brakes overheating the axle temps on longer hauls. 730C have external discs that we have never had any problems with. 730C2 the brakes are internal, and evidently have no axle coolers. We had two of them last summer, both newer machines with less than 1500 hours. Each of them had axle heating problems on hauls of about a half mile.

What was the reasoning to have them internal, longevity I imagine? Were the external brakes burning up more often and needing replacing?

Morning, gents. The cold sets in. Warming up semi and get a no heat call from renter. Utility bed pickup is becoming more and more obvious.

I don't know, but it seems like keeping dirt/mud out of the brakes and hence longevity must have been the reason. We have never had a problem with the external brakes though, and it seems much less expensive to change brakes on an external unit.
