If you cant stand tanker ask to do somethng different than tanker like dry van or intermodal. You really are better off if you can keep going for at least a year.

Try to make it at least 6 months. More options with a minimum of 6 months vs 3. Oilfield hires everyday with not much experience depending on what you want to do.

I'm a rookie with a mega and the couple of times they've had me sitting, I applied for other jobs and my employer was contacted by the company that was trying to hire me.

Yes you can. Plenty of companies only want about 3 months experience

Get a year under your belt and you’ll have more options. Stay 2 years and accident free and you’ll have companies begging for you.

That’s why I always ask that my application be held in confidence until an offer is made and accepted. If a company can’t treat me right during the honeymoon, I doubt they will afterwards.

If this is your first job, I recommend sticking it out a year. After that, I give a place 6 months. If they suck for 6 months I move on. You don’t want to job hop. You hop too much and it becomes harder to get the good gigs.
