If you cant stand tanker ask to do somethng different than tanker like dry van or intermodal. You really are better off if you can keep going for at least a year.

Try to make it at least 6 months. More options with a minimum of 6 months vs 3. Oilfield hires everyday with not much experience depending on what you want to do.

Get a year under your belt and you’ll have more options. Stay 2 years and accident free and you’ll have companies begging for you.

If this is your first job, I recommend sticking it out a year. After that, I give a place 6 months. If they suck for 6 months I move on. You don’t want to job hop. You hop too much and it becomes harder to get the good gigs.
