It's even colder in Manitoba. I'm about done with winter now. Made Minot, obviously, for the night. Truck is backed in beside a nice big aero cab Starcar pulling a deck, blocking the wind for me. Engine temps are thankfully holding at 170 degrees, but 1400 rpm idle is going to suck fuel like a monster. But better that than idling a cold motor though.

We've been getting some really ####ty fuel with the J the past couple weeks, gelling up even with antigel AND 911. I haven't had any problems with Minot fuel but GF, Fargo and Alexandria have all been giving drivers problems.

Got my Williston delivery tomorrow morning, then it's up to Rocanville to reload. Finally got something different to finish the week, heading to Moorhead with lime, then picking up calcium in Alden, IA on Friday. @cke not sure where you'll be but I'm going to try to be somewhere around Clearwater on Friday or Saturday. Looking forward to seeing some other highways for a change.

 

@cke I imagine you are parked down around middletown somewhere. I hope you are.

I just got to Monroe. It's a little icy and getting worse when I come down through Dayton. Looked like a dam demolition derby.

I believe there will be several Darwin awards handed out tonight from the ability coming from the folks I seen driving tonight.

Aahhhh...we will sleep well tonight!! Truck off, no waking up with the bunk heater roasting me and everyone around me has their trucks off so no air dryer spitting all night!! Fixing to mosey over to the Waffle House and throw some groceries down my neck.
