I have a hydraulic beavertail trailer with a hydraulic winch. I think that it is a Braden winch. Anyway, I want to buy cable that is easy to handle and that nicely wraps around the drum.
Would anyone have a suggestion as to the type of cable to buy?
PS I also do not get something. They sell electric winches "rated for 18,000 lbs" with only 3/8" wire rope. How is that possible???
What winch cable for semitrailer braden winch?

I'm sure there's guys there that have run bed or winch trucks.
I work with/around them a lot, and I know what they run. But I ain't qualified to give reasons for the answer, so I won't.
I've seen this truck before (the one being hauled) with Uber many lbs of weight sucked on the back with the front wheels four feet off the ground plowing through the muskeg, I'm thinking these guys will know what you're looking forLast edited: Jan 29, 2019
