Well gents take it what its worth, but KW wants to end the W900, or standard KW cab because it is still hand assembled. The 990 is robot assemble. See where this is going. The wanna say money, not sell you what you want. They will tell you what you want.

Which additive do y'all like best? I plan on double dosing when I get pointed toward NY. I've been using Howe's.

Where did you hear that? Last I heard KW said they were keeping the w9 as long as there was a demand for it

It wasn’t a warranty issue - the truck went down with a cracked liner in the #3 cylinder

The dealer made the repairs but somewhere in the reassemble process they made a mistake. When the they went to test the engine - they damaged the crank and the block. The dealer is paying for a new 3/4 engine out of their pocket. The problem is Detroit said they were out of stock on some parts, and the dealer has not been in a great hurry to get this resolved.

We use Howe's as well. The additives sure help, but when it starts dipping down well below zero I start to cut in #1 pretty heavy.

You don’t know the half of it...

In the plus side - the new engine will come with warranty- so it should help my guy going forward plus we doing a new clutch and wiring harness as well.

He has hauled 1.5 loads so far as an owner op - so a pretty rough start for him

I've always used Howe's with good luck. Was just kind of curious what the folks in the Northern Tundra liked. :D
